TrimSpa® is one of the most highly marketed weight loss supplements on the market. This product gained the most attention when the late Anna Nicole Smith became its spokesperson. Currently, this product has many different versions and formulas, but the company still promotes the “signature formula,” which is referred to as TrimSpa® X32. For the purpose of this review, we will focus on this product in particular and whether or not it may be able to generate its purported weight loss benefits.
We do want to note that the manufacturer of this brand has received fines and warnings from the Federal Trade Commission for making false claims. Some individuals may not want to purchase from a company that they feel would mislead them if they could.
Ingredients At A Glance
According to the company website, this product contains the following ingredients: Glucommanan, Cocoa Extract, Green Tea Extract, Hoodia Gordonii, Sodium, Glucosamine, Citrus Naringin and Vanadium. There is also a long list of filler ingredients that are also listed online for consumer review.
We would like to point out that this supplement was not selected to partake in the prize giveaway program on this website. Because this program only selected those supplements that contained high-quality ingredients and that received consistent consumer feedback, those people who are interested in this supplement may be concerned as to why this product was not selected.
Ingredients in Focus
We appreciate that the manufacturer of this supplement has recognized the value in Hoodia Gordonii, which is a South African herb proven to reduce hunger and food cravings. Unfortunately, this ingredient is hard to obtain due to its high cost and its scarcity. This means that many manufacturers have turned to using fraudulent versions of this herb that do not produce the same results. Many consumers prefer to only purchase Hoodia products that are accompanied with certificates of authenticity, but the TrimSpa® website does not currently post such certificates, nor does it share the sources of its Hoodia. We also feel that this product would have benefited from the patented ingredient Advantra Z®, a proven and safe fat burner that has shown amazing results when combined with pure certified South African Hoodia Gordonii.
We do want to note that this product does contain Caffeine derivatives. Caffeine is a central nervous system stimulant known for its adverse associated side effects. Due to their inclusion in this product, some consumers may experience jitters, nausea and/or anxiety.

The TrimSpa® website is rather low in function, especially for the number of products that are posted on this website. We feel that the product descriptions for these supplements could be more informative, and we’re sure many consumers would appreciate if the website posted cited research to indicate proper product development and effectiveness. There is a testimonial section on this website, and we were also able to find reviews for this supplement on an independent website. As a whole, though, the reviews for this product were mixed, but we did come across several testimonials that shared that this product may have produced nothing but a placebo effect at best.

Final Thoughts
It may be hard for some consumers to trust a dietary supplement manufacturer once they have been fined by the FTC for making false and misleading claims about their products’ abilities. We feel that good customer service is often a strong indication of an effective formula, and we find it very concerning that the makers of TrimSpa® have this type of deceptive track record. This, along with its mediocre formula, may have contributed to its omission from this website’s $1000 giveaway program. Without the top ingredients and the best record of service, we feel that this decision is completely justified. Fortunately, there are plenty of other options on the market for those consumers who are not interested in this diet brand.
