Reverse Aging Diet
Introduction & Overview
As we get older, we start to notice many different changes, such as aches and pain in our joints, high cholesterol, cardiovascular issues, wrinkles and fine lines, as well as weight gain. In fact, many of us start to blame our weight gain on the aging process before we hit forty. In some instances, weight gain may be traced to hormone issues, but the typical American diet seems to be the biggest culprit.
Nevertheless, there are a variety of book-based and online plans created to ease or prevent aging. One of these books is Reverse Aging by Sang Y. Whang. We often think of our health as meaning our diet and how much we exercise, but we rarely, if ever, think about how our body disposes of waste products, but this is exactly what Whang wants us to consider, as well as its effect on the aging process. His book is promoted as being a way to access the "Fountain of Youth" so that we may be able to keep our waistlines small, joints functioning and muscle mass strong. Let’s take a look at the concepts and design of this "diet.”
Diet at a Glance
The Reverse Aging Diet is not really a diet as we understand it. It’s more of a guide that outlines how we may start removing acidic waste from our body to inhibit aging-related issues. This is more of a “scientific explanation of the aging process” with some “how to" advice geared toward helping us implement Whang’s theories.
Diet in Focus
Some diets outline what you should or should not eat, but this one is a bit different, and while the usual diets often come along with issues like hunger and cravings, this one has other issues that individuals will have to manage. First, understanding it may be challenging enough because it is based upon an unusual idea. The nutrients we eat are delivered to our cells and transformed into acidic waste after being stripped of their nutritional content. Whang proposes that our body “tries its best to get rid of these acidic wastes through urine and perspiration,” but due to our lifestyle, diet and environmental toxins, it can’t get rid of them properly, so they build up and create poor circulation, disease and weight gain. Conversely, he suggests that removing these wastes may “reverse aging.”
Many readers may be wondering how you reverse such signs. Whang suggests a variety of adjuncts, many of which are sold on his website, and many of them are used Japan. These products include Reverse Aging Diet AlkaLife 6 pack, AlkaLife, Bicarb-Balance 6 pack, Bicarb-Balance, Reverse Aging Book, e-Cal, Aging and Reverse Aging, e-Cal 6 packFIR-Cooker, JP-104 .01M Ultra-fine replacement filter and Footmate Socks.
Diet Lifestyle
There has actually been a lot of press regarding the waste removal theory for disease and aging. However, many experts and scientists call this theory a “fad” or a “hoax.” They suggest that the body is fully capable of policing itself when it comes to waste removal. In fact, our bodies come complete with a series of chemical mechanisms that ensure that this aspect of our biology runs smoothly. For instance, the interactions and reactions in our body are regulated by enzymes, which work together to naturally maintain a normal range of pH. The only system in our body that becomes more or less acidic or alkaline is urine.
The controversy surrounding this unusual diet program may have been what kept it out of the running for the $1000 giveaway program provided by this site. This program’s selections for the giveaway were based on a consistent record of customer service, success and scientific proof of abilities. The Reverse Aging Diet simply does not offer such credentials.
Positives
• Inexpensive book, but adjuncts may be pricy
Negatives
• Not a proven weight loss method
• No research supporting the concepts of this “diet”
• Their customers do not like them at all and have negative things to say about their experiences. Click here to read a popular Reverse Aging Diet Blog.
Final Thoughts
Many of us would love to trace our weight gain and age-related woes
to our pH levels and the elimination of toxins, as it may suggest we can in Reverse Aging, but we could not find any research that supports this strange view, but for consumers who are more interested in easing aging than creating weight loss, it may be something they may want to try. However, the necessary adjuncts needed to carry out this “diet” are not cheap, and there is no research that we could find that supports their effectiveness.
It was clear to us after reviewing this diet that it was not really geared toward addressing weight loss, and while weight loss is hopefully a byproduct if this system is successful, it is a big “if.” Those of us who are invested in losing weight need a plan that is focused on weight loss, uses clear concepts and is cost-effective, but this system does not possess any of these attributes, which is most probably why it was not asked to take part in the $1000 giveaway program. This program is only for the top performers in the weight loss arena, and there is simply no room for such lukewarm theories.
