Raw Food Diet
1 Introduction & Overview
RawFoodDiet During the summer months, many of us enjoy crunchy carrots, fresh picked fruit and tomatoes off the vine, but then when summer wanes, we transition into hearty soups, casseroles and stews. However, while this may be a healthy way to eat, some experts and individuals suggest taking your diet to another level by eating a totally raw diet, which they suggest will improve health, increase energy levels, boost digestion and intensify weight loss.

A raw diet is often an endpoint for vegans who have removed dairy from their diet and feel like they want to go to another level, but for the rest of us, the real concern we have is if a Raw Food Diet could be easily integrated into a busy urban lifestyle. We will take a look at the Raw Food Diet to see what it has to offer, and if it is indeed manageable and effective.

Diet at a Glance
Raw Food Diets are sometimes called uncooked vegetable diets, uncooked vegan diets and "living foods" diets. In fact, all these terms are apt descriptions for this diet. For the most part, this diet strips your daily food intake of all dairy and animal-based products, as well as removing all cooked vegetables, fruits and processed foods. These diets usually consist of raw vegetables, berries and fruits, as well as germinated seeds, sprouts, cereals and nuts.

Diet in Focus
We all know that grains, veggies and fruits are good for us because they are full of nutrients and antioxidants, but can we live on plants and nut-based foods alone? The answer is apparently a resounding yes, but it does take a fair amount of work, and for some people it may not always be the best choice. Different people have different dietary needs, and a diet that works for one individual may not work for another. This is why a diet that works for you may not work at all for your sister or a friend. This is the built-in flaw of many diets and weight loss plans. However, for the most part, holistic supplements have been shown to be able to produce fairly consistent results when it comes to augmenting weight loss.

Eating a plant-based diet may be extremely healthy for some individuals, and many seem to swear by it, indicating that they feel more alive, energetic and healthy. But there are some downsides to Raw Food Diets. For instance, we can’t always absorb so many raw foods at once, and some research shows that we often need to cook food to get the full benefit of the nutrients locked inside it. Also, some individuals have “weak digestive systems,” which may prevent them from properly digesting raw foods due to a lack of digestive enzymes, which are needed to help break down the nutrients in these foods.

There are also some genetic and cultural factors at play because our bodies get used to eating and metabolizing foods in a certain way. When our eating habits change so drastically, it is not always an easy ride, because the digestive system needs to be “retrained” to tolerate and absorb raw foods.

The issue of hunger is one of the major concerns for many dieters. This type of diet does not appear to take into consideration the problems associated with cravings and hunger, which may be why this diet was not selected to be part of this site’s $1000 giveaway program. This program collected the finest products, both in terms of ingredients and in terms of customer service, to encourage dieters to achieve their weight loss goals. Without the highest quality standards for success and service, there was simply no way for a diet such as this to make it into this exclusive giveaway program.

Diet Lifestyle
Whether for or against a Raw Food Diet, experts agree that there are certain “side effects” that occur, which consumers should be aware of prior to starting this diet. These side effect include headaches, nausea, lightheadedness and extreme cravings. These issues may significantly impact the individual’s ability to perform as usual until their body adjusts.

However, some individuals transition without any issues at all, but it is important to get help when instituting this kind of diet because “Raw foodists” need to make sure they are getting all their nutrients. For instance, some individuals become deficient in Vitamin B-12, which may reduce energy levels and health, but there are steps they can take to avoid this issue.

• Their customers do not like them at all and have negative things to say about their experiences. Click here to read a popular Raw Food Diet Blog.

Final Thoughts
In reality, much of what we know about vegetarian diets and the related health effects and benefits is due to studies conducted on lacto ovo vegetarian diets, which include dairy and eggs. There is actually very little information available about the health and nutritional aspects of Raw Food Diets. However, some individuals who start Raw Food Diets often do lose weight, but as we saw above, it takes a lot of work to get this diet on track, and for some of us, it is not the best tactic in terms of health.

Also, we have read reports by individuals who used this diet to lose weight, and they often report that hunger was a huge issue on this diet. Some report that they had to employ a high-quality nutritional supplement to ease this issue. Hunger is not an issue that is specific to this diet, but it maybe exacerbated by its core concepts.

However, it is important to note that this is not a true weight loss diet. In fact, it is more of a lifestyle change than anything else. For this reason, as well as the fact that there are certain manageability issues built into this diet, this site has not included it in the $1000 giveaway program. The site only includes true weight loss products and diets that are safe, manageable and effective, as well as ones that give dieters access to support and high-quality customer care.
