We are definitely pleased that this product no longer contains Ephedra, but we do want to note that it may still be high in central nervous system stimulants. This formula appears to mainly consist of Caffeine derivatives. It is quite common to find Caffeine extracts in diet supplements, as many people believe that this ingredient will increase fat burning, boost energy and even suppress the appetite. However, none of these claims are conclusively proven, and the benefits of Caffeine-based supplements may be over-hyped.
Currently, Caffeine is not proven to significantly increase the metabolism. It can only provide temporary, short-lived energy boosts, and its appetite suppression may be more linked to potential nauseating side effects that are often associated with Caffeine-based supplements.
